This book is a visual representation of the song “Your Makeup is Terrible” by Alaska Thunderfuck. Alaska is a drag queen known for her out-of-the-box style and attitude. I wanted to display her themes of space and weirdness to show how the song can impact the audience.

This song became very important to me during my time working at the Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride. The makeup artists would play this song while we got ready, and everyone would sing along. It’s become a very nostalgic song for who I am as a person and holds a special place in my heart.
